Complaints, Advice and Recommendations
Death to LOST Autotune
la da da da… hey hey hey goodbye
So my favorite sci-fi drama LOST on ABC has officially ended. Sigh
Now I have nothing else to watch on TV. Any recommendations?
(By the way, if you haven’t done so already, watch the Dexter series from Showtime. It’s disturbingly entertaining.)

No I.D. on the track let the story begin…
I was one of lucky few who scored tickets to Jimmy Kimmel’s special Aloha to LOST show taping. Thousands submitted ticket requests but only 200 were available….. I had requested 4 but they only gave me 2. I guess I can’t complain.. or can I? (booo! argh!! grr.)
My first choice of course was Charlene - the only friend I have that watches LOST as religiously as I do (and her fiance Mikey, sorry Mikey! hehe). She had to rearrange her Vegas schedule, and I had to forfeit a few poker tourneys, but it’s okay… once in a lifetime opportunity!
Our eventful day started with brunch at Ji Jian’s in Alhambra - Xiao Long Bao and Dumplings. Yummy!!! (I prefer this spot over Din Tai Fung)
We got to the El Capitaine theater and stood in line for about an hour. While we were waiting a group of video bloggers interviewed us. I gotta find that website! Stay tuned…
They let us in around 1:30pm and seated us in the center with a pretty good view. We got to watch the LOST finale episode before everyone in the world. What a privilege! Woot!
There was a break in between and they gave everyone cupcakes. Char and I gunned for the Red Velvets. Yummy!
Right before show started taping, Char and I got moved closer to the aisle because they wanted more Hawaiian garb in the shot. Here are some screen shots!

I know this is an obvious statement, but Matthew Fox is a-hubba-hubba-HOT! Whew! I swore we made eye contact a few times.
Unfortunately, Josh Holloway (Sawyer) was not there. It’s okay, I don’t think I could have handled two of them in the same room at the same time. ** fanning myself **
After the show, they threw a Pizza Party upstairs and were going to give away a bunch of unique stuff out. Char and I positioned ourselves right by the stage next to the prizes. We were so anxious! Each person got only 1 raffle ticket. We were hoping at least one of us wins!
The first trivia question was for a Dharma hoodie sweater - “Who was the head of Dharma security, aka as La Fleur?” Some girl in the back raised her hand and said “Michael!” OMG - how can you be a LOST fan and not know the answer! Char was like “Hell no!” and raised up her hand “Sawyer, James Ford, Josh Holloway!” ….. Ching Ching Ching! Woot!
A few trivia questions later, a Mr Cluck’s metal sign was up for grabs. It was so cute! “Where was Hurley’s first Mr. Cluck’s established?” Char and I thought we knew the answer but weren’t quite sure… a lot of people guessed Los Angeles, Tustin, Pasadena etc… Finally, I decided to go for it……. raised my hand… “Diamond Bar?” ….. Winner Winner Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Dinner! But everyone was booing us instead of cheering because they were jealous… WTH!? Boo You!
They finally stopped asking trivia and did raffle tickets for everything else. After a couple were called out, they pulled out a Dharma jacket and everyone was ooh-aah-ing. Char and I were indifferent. It would be nice to win but not something we could sport. The numbers were 9…4…7..9…8……….5! Charlene! We both shrieked “Yeahhhhhhh!!!” and everyone booed us again. Take a chill pill everyone! haha
They called out more numbers and we kept sighing everytime my number was missed. The MC picked on us and yelled “You guys need to stop that, you’ve won enough!”
Fine.
After a while I kind of gave up. After all, we did already win 3 prizes. Some people didn’t get anything. Our luck was out… or was it? 9…4…7..9…8……….6! Me me me! Woot woot! We both shrieked so loud, and everyone booed at us AGAIN! “They have extra raffle tickets, cheater!!” (which we didn’t) man, haters, why everyone be hatin’ on me?
Ended up winning Season 5 of LOST on Blu-Ray. Pretty sweet.
On our way out, we got a specially autographed box of Dharma Mac and Cheese. Mine was signed by Naveen Andrews (Sayid). We also left with a few bottles of DharmaWater (VitaminWater)
What a great night. Here’s a peek at what we went home with:

And here’s Mikey sporting the Dharma jacket! I didn’t know they pop collars on the Island. LOL

I made this just for Flex n Mrs. C,
